Ixodes ticks and fleas are parasites that can pose a health risk to our pets. Ixodes ticks can transmit toxoplasmosis (babesiosis), Lyme and Ehrlich tick-borne diseases, causing anemia and general toxic poisoning in dogs. Fleas, on the other hand, cause dermatitis, severe itching and can sometimes be a source of tapeworm infection (heartworm disease).

Monika has been interested in animals, their behavior, biology, and anatomy from a young age. In 2008, she graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW). Over time, she focused on anesthesiology and pain management, regularly expanding her knowledge through courses and training. In 2023, she completed ESAVS courses in Anesthesia & Pain Management.
She most often works in the operating room, responsible for managing and monitoring patients under anesthesia. She also administers anesthesia for other procedures requiring anesthesia. She particularly appreciates working with challenging cases, which provide her with the opportunity to utilize her knowledge and experience.
In her free time, she is a lover of bull terriers and the owner of two bull terriers – Zoja and Mysza. She spends her free time actively participating in obstacle course races, and she shares her passion for sports with her sons.
