Veterinary emergency service

Veterinary emergency care, also known as the veterinary emergency service or the 24/7 vet, is a service provided by Zviropolis that allows pet owners to obtain immediate help when an animal needs urgent veterinary attention. Animals in a serious condition are always seen out of turn.

We are able to provide rapid veterinary help around the clock, at weekends and on public holidays. A surgeon is available at all times, so in situations that threaten a patient’s life surgery can be carried out at any hour of the day. At night and at weekends our team operates as well!

You can come to our veterinary emergency care, otherwise known as the round-the-clock veterinary emergency service, in situations that call for immediate veterinary intervention, such as:

• So-called “emergency” situations, when there is a direct threat to life. Animals that have been in an accident, for example a fall from a height, a bite from another animal or being hit by a car.
• When an animal has developed breathing difficulties, this is an indication for hospitalisation and stabilisation as soon as possible.
• If the owner knows or suspects that their pet has come into contact with toxic substances (household chemicals of various kinds, human medicines, plants, rodent poison, foods that are harmful to animals and so on).
• If complications arise during birth, the owner should come to the veterinary emergency care straight away, because in such situations the lives of the puppies or kittens and of the mother may be at risk.

Remember, the faster owners react to a problem, the greater the chances of a quick recovery! Please call us before you set off so that we can prepare for the patient’s arrival.
