Ixodes ticks and fleas are parasites that can pose a health risk to our pets. Ixodes ticks can transmit toxoplasmosis (babesiosis), Lyme and Ehrlich tick-borne diseases, causing anemia and general toxic poisoning in dogs. Fleas, on the other hand, cause dermatitis, severe itching and can sometimes be a source of tapeworm infection (heartworm disease).

She graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Life Sciences in Wrocław. While still studying, she gained experience working as a veterinarian in the USA and Switzerland, where she completed an externship. After graduation, she went on a graduate internship at one of the veterinary clinics in the province of Alicante, Spain.
Veterinary medicine captivates her most in the fields of ophthalmology and reproduction, although she is currently focusing on development in the broader area of internal medicine.
At Zviropolis, she works as a veterinarian assistant to better prepare herself for independent shifts as a veterinarian in the future.
Outside of work, her passions include tennis and volleyball, and the time during the Grand Slam tournament at Wimbledon is definitely her favorite time of the year! When she finds some free moments amid all of this, she enjoys them with good music and delicious food—preferably in the company of friends, including her four-legged ones.
