Geriatric animals are considered to be dogs and cats over the age of seven. Mature age in animals is associated with the occurrence, typical of old age, of health problems. The most common geriatric diseases include kidney, thyroid and joint disease, as well as diabetes or cancer. Many of these conditions are chronic problems that, if diagnosed early, can be effectively treated. Consequently, early diagnosis helps to ensure that the patient lives longer and is comfortable. For this reason, we encourage regular health checks for our patients and especially for patients over the age of seven. In order to be able to provide this to our patients, our clinic offers a package of examinations geared towards elderly patients, which will make it easy to assess the patient’s state of health and make an accurate diagnosis.
