PREPARATION FOR A SPECIALIST VISIT

1. Prepare necessary information

A few days before the visit, your veterinarian should receive your pet’s medical history (sent to klinika@zviropolis.pl), including information about: the course of the injury you are reporting (if it was registered with another doctor), medications and supplements taken, recent illnesses and injuries, test results, and previous procedures.

2. Observe symptoms

While waiting for the appointment, pay attention to whether the symptoms are worsening or if new ones are appearing. Information about any worsening of the problems should be communicated to the veterinarian during the visit.

IMPORTANT! The alleviation of symptoms does not mean that the condition has disappeared. A visit and consultation with the doctor are recommended even if symptoms have subsided.

3. Prepare your pet for the visit

Food: Your pet should not eat for 8-12 hours before the visit. This is related to the possibility of requiring further diagnostic procedures.

Water: Water can be left available up to 2 hours before the visit, unless the veterinarian decides otherwise.

4. Arrival at the clinic

If the animal shows aggression or if the journey is very stressful, it is worth asking about possible ways to alleviate stress and aggression. If there is a need for a muzzle, it is best to put it on before the journey, but no later than before entering the clinic.

We recommend arriving 10 minutes early for registration and setting up a file (for new clients).

5. Post-visit instructions

After the visit, you will receive recommendations for further procedures depending on what ails your pet. It is advisable to follow them as soon as possible to avoid potential complications related to the worsening of the condition.
